The CadArm Publications QUILT contect begins at 12:01 AM Eastern time (ET) on 11/01/09 & ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on 06/30/09 (“Promotion Period”).
How to Enter: Go to www.CadArmPub.com and click on the Contest Page. Complete the registration by providing your name, email address, mailing address, phone number and zip code on the upper left corner of an 8.5 x 11 paper. This can be done at any time during the Promotion Period. You will also be asked to solve a puzzel by breaking the code and providing proof of purchase of the book by attaching a copy of the sales receipt. Entries must be post-marked by 11:59:59 PM ET on 06/30/10, and will not be accepted after that time. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person during the Promotion Period. For the purposes of this promotion, a “day” is defined as the 24-hour period beginning at 12:00 AM ET and ending at 11:59:59 PM ET. Use of any automated entry software is prohibited. Reviews must be no more than 600 words, and must be submitted in English. The review portion of entry must comply with Sponsor’s online Posting Standards, be in keeping with the Sponsor’s image, and may not be offensive, obscene, libelous, pornographic, threatening, abusive, or contain illegal content, or be otherwise objectionable, that would constitute or encourage a criminal offense, or that would otherwise give rise to liability or violate any law; the entry must not be the subject of any actual or threatened litigation or claim; nor can it defame, or invade upon the publicity rights or privacy of any person or infringe upon any third party’s copyright, patent, trademark, or trade secret or otherwise infringe upon any person or entity’s personal or proprietary rights, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. Entrant must be the sole and exclusive owner of all rights (including, without limitation, all intellectual property rights) in and to all content and elements incorporated into or used in the Entry. Any Entrant whose Entry includes likenesses or mentions of third parties or contains content or elements not owned by the Entrant must be able to provide written legal releases (in a form that is satisfactory to Sponsor) that permit the Entrant to use, publish or exploit such content and elements in the manner used and exploited in accordance with these Official Rules. Incomplete Entries or Entries not complying with these Official Rules are subject to disqualification. CadArm Publications (“Sponsor”), Promoter, and prize provider assumes no responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, human error or technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any computer equipment or software, or any combination thereof, or for lost, stolen, late, illegible, misdirected, entries or mail. Entries that have been generated by a script, macro, bot or any other automated means will be deemed void. If a dispute results as to the identity of an participant, it will be determined that the entry was submitted by the authorized account holder of the email and/or mailing address from which the entry is made. For these purposes, the authorized account holder is the natural person assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Sponsor will collect information from the entrant solely for the purpose of notifying the winner and awarding the prize.
Grand Prize: One (1) winner will be selected. In the event that no entries are received or that none qualify by not correctly solving the puzzel or attaching proper proof of purchase, the contect will be canceled or postponed. Winner notification will be on or about 07/30/10. Decisions of the judge(s) will be final and binding on all matters relating to this contest.
Eligibility: Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees, agents, representatives, directors and officers, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses), and the respective household members, of Sponsor, are not eligible to participate. Contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws. U.S. law governs this Promotion. Sweepstakes void in APO/FPOs outside the US, PR & where prohibited. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify participants who violate these Official Rules or interfere with this contest in any manner. If a participant is disqualified, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate that participant’s eligibility to participate.
Prize will be awarded within 4-6 weeks after the Promotion Period ends (subject to Sponsor’s verification of eligibility). Prize is non-transferable; no substitutions on any portion of the prize allowed except by Sponsor due to unavailability, in which case substitution will be of equal or greater value. All applicable taxes and any other costs not specifically stated herein are the responsibility of the winner.
Prize winner will be notified by email on or about 07/30/10. Winner confirmation is subject to verification and compliance with these Official Rules. Potential winner will be required to sign and execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release and where legal, a Publicity Release, and if applicable, a federal and state tax release (IRS Form W-9), and return same, properly executed, within 14 days of issuance of notification. Failure to return any or all documents as specified, or potential winner not complying with any term of these Official Rules, will result in the participant being disqualified and an alternate winner chosen. Prize or prize notification being returned as undeliverable, or potential winner not complying with any term of these Official Rules will result in the participant being disqualified and the prize will be awarded to a potential alternate winner.
Conditions of Participation: By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules & the decisions of the judge(s), which are final. All materials submitted in connection with the contest become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor retains all rights in and to the Entry and all portions thereof. Sponsor reserves the right to edit, alter, publish, use, modify or adapt the Entry. By entering, winner consents to the use of his/her name, image, likeness, photograph, entry, voice and biographical material for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes by Sponsor, or a party designated by the Sponsor, in any and all media now or hereafter known including but not limited to, any online announcements, or for sharing this information with the press for viewing, whether TV or print, throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law. Entrants release and hold harmless Sponsor, affiliates, agencies, officers, directors and shareholders (“Releasees”) from any claims, actions, injury, loss or damage of any kind, including but not limited to, personal injury or death, resulting from participating in this contest or from the acceptance, possession, or use or misuse of any prize awarded or participation in any prize-related activity.
Internet: If for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest, or due to any action(s), regulation(s), order(s), or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity, equipment failure, including overloading of a website due to excessive use, threatened terrorist act(s), terrorist act(s), air raid(s), blackout(s), act(s) of public enemy, earthquake(s), war(s) (declared or undeclared), fire(s), flood(s), epidemic(s), explosion(s), unusually severe weather, hurricane(s), embargo(s), labor dispute(s) or strike(s) (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage(s), transportation interruption(s) of any kind, work slow-down(s), civil disturbance(s), insurrection(s), riot(s), or any other similar or dissimilar cause(s) beyond Sponsor's sole and reasonable control, then the Sponsor reserves the right at Sponsor’s sole discretion, to void any entries at issue, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest in whole or in part, at any time, without notice and award the prize using all non-suspect eligible entries received as of this termination date. Releasees assume no responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human or printing error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, line failures of any kind including computer equipment, software, inability to access any online service or web site, inability to access or submit the online registration form, or any other error or malfunction, or for destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, or for late, lost, stolen, illegible or misdirected entries. Sweepstakes materials that have been tampered with or altered are void. Releasees are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by Sponsor or any entry to be received on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes or downloading/uploading any materials in this Contest.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON (S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entrants who violate the rules or interfere with this Contest in any manner. If an entrant is disqualified, Sponsor reserves the right to terminate that entrant’s eligibility to participate.
